China Times "Best Book of 2014" acceptance speech
In its annual media awards, the China Times newspaper in Taiwan named The International Bank of Bob a "Best Book of 2014." I have no idea how this happened, but hey, cool. Since I couldn't get to Taipei on short notice for the award thingy, they asked me to record a short thanks. Here's the only clip I've seen of how it played in the room.

Bob Harris grew up working class in Ohio but eventually became a luxury travel writer, globetrotting from one swank hotel to the next-until the poverty all around him in some countries, facing people not significantly different from his own parents, demanded he take action. 1998 Tournament of Champions winner Dan Melia marries Dara Hellman on the Jeopardy! set. Their vows were on the game board, they rang in to say their vows, and the ceremony was performed by fellow 5-time champ Bob Harris. Alex Trebek was on hand as the official witness.
